It can be a challenging task choosing a photographer especially for something so personal and special as your wedding day.
Your photographer needs to be able to capture the positive energy of the day, the intense emotions, the unique moments as well as the beautiful outfits and the gorgeous venue.
You will work closely with your photographer throughout the day so you will need to be comfortable with them on a personal level and confident in their ability to capture what you want them to. The occasion is emotionally intense and you do not need to be worrying about your photographer.
My style of photography - natural, relaxed and spontaneous - photography that tells the story of the your special day and captures all the emotion it brings. I will of course take any formal shots that are required. I like to encourage clients to participate with their own ideas. You might have an idea for a totally unique photograph you want to try.
I am as unobtrusive as possible and clients often tell me that they didn't realise that I had taken a particular shot or they had forgotten that a specific thing happened. I like to ensure that my clients are as relaxed with me as possible - almost ignoring me. Because of this, I like to be able to meet with you at least three times after your initial booking appointment. This allows you to get to know me and feel at ease and for me to get a feel for your personalities and to work out your exact requirements. I always arrange a visit (normally with you) to the venue beforehand. This gives us a chance to go over ideas and for me to be able to meet the venue staff and also discuss any potential issues. This has proved invaluable time and time again as the staff have often come to me rather than interrupting the bride and groom with any queries on the day and generally I have been able to help them.
Being prepared for any eventuality is key. I ALWAYS bring back up equipment. I always have three cameras with me, often working with two at the same time. I bring a selection of lenses, memory cards, batteries, flash so in the unlikely event of an equipment failure I am covered. I also have a little bride survival kit and a clear umbrella should the weather not be kind to us.
I have professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
All the parties involved sign a binding contract for added protection. The contract is tailored to your specific needs and details times, locations as well as the terms and conditions. Prices are based on the amount of time I am required. For instance a client may want everything from Bridal prep through to the end of the evening or may just want the ceremony covered. Obviously the longer I am with the client the more shots I will have to edit. Contact me with your requirements for a personalised quotation.
About 6 weeks after the wedding I personally deliver all usable images on a special keepsake USB. It is impossible to say just how many photographs there will be as each occasion is different. I preview the photographs with the clients as I like to see their reactions and see them reliving their day. This often creates a new wave of emotion. By providing a USB of the photographs, you are free to print and share with friends and family and will receive my written consent to do this (needed because of copyright laws). I am however, able to provide printing services and create albums.
I am also available for a range of other events so feel free to contact me.
